Students collaborate over interactive SMART Table
- Young students at a Florida elementary school are collaborating more in the classroom by using a SMART Table.
- The SMART Table is an interactive touch-screen computer that allows up to eight students to work together.
- Educators say the technology is beneficial to students who are using the devices to collaborate on everything from social studies to art.

Online encyclopedia offers students a forum on sciences
- A division of Nature Publishing Group has launched an online science encyclopedia and learning community called Scitable .
- Vikram Savkar, publishing director of the Nature Education division, says the project is designed to foster student interest in the sciences.
- Registered users can explore research and multimedia offerings, while the social-media aspect allows them to communicate with experts or other students.
